Working‑class Director drawn to stories of resilience and rage, and to the hope, humour, and imagination that give them depth.
My work spans physically driven, high‑intensity drama to playful, myth‑inspired worlds, adapting in style and process to serve each story’s truth.
I create theatre that is visceral and physically charged, bringing audiences into bold, embodied storytelling. Whether the work roars with righteous energy or unfolds in delicate, dream‑like moments, it’s always shaped with precision, collaboration, and a focus on shared experience.
My process is fuelled by curiosity and the belief that the most powerful theatre emerges from a rehearsal room built on trust, agency, and play. This adaptable, artist‑centred approach is rooted in 15 years of professional experience, an MA in Directing from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and a BA in Acting from the Guildford School of Acting. Accessibility isn’t an afterthought — it’s a foundation for a joyful room where every artist has a meaningful voice in shaping the work.
This philosophy drives Stage Craft @, the artistic hub I founded in Essex and Suffolk. Building this community for training, networking, and performance has confirmed my conviction that supportive environments create the boldest art.
Based in the East of England with good transport links to London, I work across genres, scales, and forms as a Director, Dramaturg, and Acting Coach. If you have a bold story — whether steeped in grit, magic, or quiet intimacy — that demands a world built with rigour, heart, and a bit of rebellion, I want to hear from you.
